As a student at Central, Rob Miller excelled in many areas, from academics and sports to extra-curricular activities and volunteerism, and in the succeeding twenty-seven years he has continued to add to that list, accumulating a most impressive record. First as News Editor and then as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the national award-winning school newspaper The Little Green, Rob often penned editorials that had far-reaching impact throughout the Manchester community. While at Central, Rob also served as a two-year captain of the swim team, won the Yale Book Award, and the prestigious National Council of Teachers of English Writing Award. Rob continued his studies at Yale University, where he was graduated with "Distinction in the Major" (psychology). After a brief hiatus as a Hollywood scriptwriter, Rob enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he would eventually become Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, be appointed instructor in Legal Writing, and be elected as the student representative on the Law School's Committee on Honors and Academic Standing. Rob was also published in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. After law school, Rob clerked with Chief Judge Paul Barbadoro of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire before beginning his practice at Sheehan Phinney in Manchester, Elected to the partnership after only five years, Rob enjoys a busy, national practice where he is engaged primarily in complex commercial disputes in the federal courts. He has been named a Rising Star in Business Litigation by Law and Politics Magazine, a New England Super Lawyer in Business Litigation since 2011, one of New Hampshire's Best Lawyers in Commercial Litigation by New Hampshire Magazine, and Litigation Star by Benchmark. A graduate of Leadership New Hampshire, Rob was also named one of the Forty Under 40 leaders to watch by the New Hampshire Union Leader. Active in his community, Rob has served for many years on the Board of Directors for YMCA Camp Belknap and on the Board of Directors of the Hopkinton Soccer Club, where he has also coached the boys' travel team. In his spare time, Rob continues to actively write and publish, most notably the genre best-sellers Law School Confidential and Med School Confidential, as well as Business School Confidential and Campus Confidential. His newest work, Backlund: From All-American Boy to Professional Wrestling's World Champion, chronicles the life of his childhood hero, the World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion, and WWE Hall-of-Famer, Bob Backlund. Rob lives in Hopkinton, NH with his wife and best friend Carolyn, an attorney in the NH Supreme Court, and their two active and inquisitive sons, Nick (13) and Lucas (9). For his innumerable contributions to his community, whether through his legal work, his writing, or his many volunteer activities, Robert H. Miller brings pride to his alma mater, Manchester High School Central.
